Chapter One: Assimilation

[Scribe's Note: Opening the storyline of Her Majesty's Scarlet Empire commencing - the prologue was a bit of background regarding the Empire's formation and history :D]

The Empress immediately ascended to the Scintillating Throne of Jade after her spectacular heroism. With a vast cadre of soldiers and mages that had sworn their allegiance to their savior from the Legion of the Soulles, she personally led a series of campaigns across the Perfect Land with hopes of uniting all the fragmented territories and domiciles that had fallen into disarray and chaos after the benevolent Emperor's death.

Word immediately spread faster than wildfire across the expanding bounds of the Scarlet Empire about the ascension of the Empress and soon many bore witness to the Empress personally leading battles against the still-chaotic factions that had torn up the Empire. From greedy noblemen and landlords claiming rights over the lands to rebellious warlords that had long awaited the Emperor's death, the new Scarlet Empress dealt with all of them. Although her powers and abilities were more inclined on the purity and sanctity of life, she was without mercy in annihilating all opposition, as supported by her vastly growing army. Morale was reinstated as the towns and territories slowly fell back to the Empire's control.

Within a year of her reign, the Perfect Land was unified and whole once again, on the lookout for one another for manifestations of the Soulless Legion that had long threatened their peace. The Scarlet Empress retired to her Palace in Dragon City and assembled her personal cabinet, a specialized team of the very best of the Empire's strategists, warriors, thinkers, and sages, all managing a specific division of the Empire and personally responsible to the Empress herself. The cabinet was christened as the 'Scarlet Council'.

As the new age dawned on the Empire, five major divisions each bearing the crest of one of the five elements have been established - Fire [Red], Water [Blue], Wood [Green], Earth [Yellow], and Metal [Black]. Under each division stood three territorial bounds called provinces, each ruled by a provincial Magistrate that served on a diplomatic body just below the ranks of the Scarlet Council.

Now, with everything in place, the Empress had little to bother herself with, now turning her attention to expanding her slowly growing empire by ensuring that her armies are expanding the borders and convening with the Scarlet Council to discuss matters of importance. Loyalty stood unquestioned and chaos had been nearly nonexistent since the 'Assimilation'.

Or is it?
